Store Privacy Policies
We are a privately held business, and relish our own privacy.
As such, Laytner's will not knowingly divulge ANY customer information,
including your e-mail address, to any one, unless authorized by you or we are
ordered to do so by legal authority with appropriate statutory/court approval.
We will only use personal information you give us - name, address, contact information,
credit card information - to process orders you place with us or to send you information
you request. (If you receive but do not want our notices for special offers, sales or
events you may opt out.)
Furniture Delivery
While we stock most of furniture shown in this site, certain items (like
sofas) are ordered directly from the manufacturer. You will be advised by e-mail
as to the estimated production/delivery time.
The following additional charges will be added to your order total when your
credit card is charged.
Zone A: within 30 miles of Manhattan,
furniture valued over $500.01, 8% of value, with a $50 minimum.
For walk-ups add $10 per flight for the first piece, $7.50 per flight
for the second and successive pieces.
Zone B: 31-50 miles of Manhattan
13% of value, with a minimum of $75.
For walk-ups add $10 per flight for the first piece, $7.50 per flight for
the second and successive pieces.
Other destinations: we will advise shipping charges via e-mail before we
charge your credit cards or you can contact us for details. email:

Shipping Policies
All items are shipped via UPS (except furniture, see above.) Charges
are per destination. UPS Next Day or 2nd Day is available at additional
charge. All in-stock items usually ship within 48 hours of your order. Items
will not be charged until they ship.
Shipping charges for orders to a single destination over $500.00 shipping via
UPS Ground are calculated at 10% of the total order value.

» For shipments to Alaska and Hawaii an additional $25.00 freight surcharge
per order will be added to the above charges.
» An extra $35.00 per item will be added to the above charges for overweight and oversize
items.
» We presently cannot accept orders for shipment outside of the United States.
Taxes
We collect state sales tax when the shipping address is in one of the following states:

Order Cancellation Policies
For
non-furniture items, you may cancel any order without incurring
any additional charges before the item has shipped. If you attempt to cancel
after the item has shipped, but before it has arrived, you will only be
responsible for shipping and handling charges in both directions.
For
Furniture you may cancel any stocking item that has not shipped at no
additional charge. If the item has already shipped, the order is handled as a
return and is subject a 20% restocking fee and return shipping charge, if
applicable. Special or Custom orders, such as upholstery, cannot be cancelled
after the item has gone into production or the fabric cut. You (the
purchaser) are soley responsible for the item fitting into the
premises.
Warranties
Laytner's extends no explicit or implicit warranties beyond those offered by
the manufacturers of the products we sell. An optional 5-year warranty
protection on all wood, glass, leather and upholstered furniture is available at

Return Policies
If you find that you have ordered the wrong item, return it for an exchange
or refund within 30 days of purchase. (For furniture, see below).
Returns
must be sent pre-paid insured Parcel Post or UPS. Sorry, initial shipping
charges are not refundable. For a full refund, goods must be in new (resalable)
condition with original packaging. We do not accept returns on "personal use" items such as sleeping pillows and mattress pads. Please enclose a copy of your original sale
receipt. Of course, if the mistake was ours, we'll pay for shipping, too.
Furniture returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee and a separate pick up
charge.
Custom items, such as upholstery, are not returnable and once in
production, cannot be canceled.
Shipping or delivery damages must be reported within 72 hours or receipt.
Laytner's will, at its sole discretion, send a qualified technician to repair
minor or cosmetic damages or replace the item.
