DE BERRY MAHOGANY SMALL CHEST

This elegant De Berry Solid Mahogany Dresser evokes the era of Louis Phillipe, the "Citizen King" of 19th century France. Note the graceful curves of the wide mouldings (called "Doucine") used under tops and as bases on cases. The minimalist hardware is used sparingly, consisting primarily of metal escutcheons or keyholes on the faces of doors and drawers. Hand-rubbed to a burnished antique finish, the clean lines defy categorization, which is why it seems both sophisticated and simple.
